Summary Statement

Because Fellowship Churches are gifted at helping and serving people, they develop well-organized ministries that are coordinated in working toward a better life spiritually, socially and physically for themselves and their community. Conscientious and hard-working in their ministries, they are eager and willing to be involved in one another’s lives as well as be useful to the community through their gifts of helps and service. Out of a sense of duty and responsibility members will step into leadership roles when firmly asked even though at first they may be reluctant. Transitions can be difficult for Fellowship Churches and rapid changes can lead to distress. Consequently, they tend to resist disturbances to their routine even when the unsettling events are good for the church.

Mission Statement
Fellowship Churches are called of God to form ministry teams that demonstrate the love of Christ through prayer and practical, generous, no-strings-attached acts of service to individuals, families and organizations in the community through their gift of helps and shepherding as a means of serving people in their pain and distress. These ministries bring some in the community to the place in which they become open to their greatest need—being drawn into a relationship with Christ and His Church where they can serve others as an expression of their love for the Lord even as they have been served by Him and His Church.

• Theme passage: Matthew 5:16 “In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”
